The MCC Junior Cricket program is about teaching the future of our club the fundamentals of cricket in a safe and enjoyable environment. Over the years, it's also been fantastic to see the community of parents that end up coming together, forging lifelong friendships watching their young ones enjoy their sport. 


Our junior program is lead by Tim Wise and he is passionate about making sure our younger players not only enjoy their cricket but become the best player they can be. Common Questions

  • What grounds do your teams play at?

    Our primary home ground is Macleod Park, and our secondary home ground is the new state-of-the-art sporting facility at Greensborough College, which is only about 10 minutes away from Macleod Park.

  • Is new equipment necessary?

    No, we have a substantial supply of good quality equipment our players can use across all age groups. 


    We do encourage players to start building up their own kit, but we are aware of the costs and know that this is challenging for some families. 


    No equipment is certainly no barrier to getting started. 

  • What time are the games?

    All girls cricket, u10 & u12 (white only) matches are played Wednesday evenings from 5 pm-7:30 pm, and all u12, u14, u16 & u18 boys play Friday evenings 5 pm - 7:30 pm.

  • When does the season run? What about school holidays?

    The season starts in early October and goes through to March. There is no cricket played during school holidays. 

  • Is there any way I can help?

    Yes, of course! We need volunteers and sponsors to help us run the program, so if you can help out in any way, reach out and let us know how.
